Here are a few key pointers to help you get the most out of your hire of Catterall Village Hall.
AUDIO SYSTEM
In the main room on the wall is a control panel. Instructions are on the wall next to it. from here you can Bluetooth music from your phone, plug in a USB Stick, or connect via a cable. The power switch is underneath the bottom left-hand corner. Please ensure that you turn this off after your hire.
AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING
In the single cupboard in the corner of the hall, you will find the air conditioning controller. Press the big button at the bottom right to turn the system on, then the left button to select auto, so that the system can heat or cool as necessary, then set the temperature. Usually 20 or 21 is comfortable for most people. Please ensure you turn this off at the end of your hire.
WATER HEATERS
In the same cupboard as the air conditioning are the timers for the water heaters. These run the water heaters for the toilets, the instant hot water boiler for the kitchen and the dishwasher. Press the black spots on the front of each to turn them on. You should see the lights on top illuminate.
To use the kitchen Water heater, you will then need to turn it on at the wall.
OVEN
To use the oven, you will need to turn the power on at the wall, which is the big red switch behind the microwave. This will allow the right-hand oven to operate. The left-hand oven needs the clock to be set. To do this, press the left and centre buttons together for a few seconds, which will add a few minutes to the time and you will be able to use it.
Please ensure you turn everything off before you leave and close all doors.
The floors should be swept and mopped and left clean as you would expect to find it. We have a cleaner who visits once per week, and users are expected to return it to a clean standard after every use. Please hang all brush and mops back on the wall where indicated, not just left on the floor in the cupboard.
Please empty all bins into the big bin outside and ensure you lock the bin once done. The key is hung up in the kitchen.
If you need bin bags, spare loo rolls or paper towels, these can be found in the bottom boxes in the cloakroom storage rack.
